Our Hygienic Design junction boxes, made from EN 1.4404 stainless steel (Type 316L) with a fine satin finish, are designed to meet strict hygiene and sanitary standards in the food, dairy and pharmaceutical industries. Thanks to advanced welding techniques, the chemical composition of the material remains intact, preventing any corrosion. The cover is fastened with special captive screws, while the FDA approved and molded blue silicone gasket guarantees an effective seal. Featuring IP66 and IP69K protection ratings, these boxes offer excellent dust and water resistance.
They are also equipped with internal M6 stainless steel studs for mounting bars and profiles, while the back features threaded inserts for attaching the box to skids or nearby walls with special hygienic brackets. For special fastenings, the inserts can be closed with dedicated blue plugs supplied as a kit to guarantee the highest levels of hygiene.
The hot-dip galvanized internal plate, available upon request, and the grounding provision complete this product which complies with the 2006/42/EC Machinery Directive as well as with DIN EN 1672-2-2005 and EHEDG standards.
